The UPSSSC had invited candidates to apply for the posts of 248 Mandi Inspector, Junior Assistant, Market Supervisor grade II and Account Clerk.
The exam was conducted on 30 May in two shifts at Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Bareli, Lucknow, Mathura, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Prayagraj, Saharanpur and Varanasi.
According to the investigation conducted by Uttar Pradesh STF, the examination controller and cheating syndicates had colluded. Varanasi Police was able to retain sealed question papers from the printing press office of Kaushik Kumarkar in Kolkata.
Kaushik Kumarkar was already enlisted as a defaulter by the UP government, and according to ANI, questions are being raised to why the contract was awarded to his company.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
