Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh (UP) Government has begun the work to carry out a phased rollback of the lockdown, reports The Indian Express.
Emphasising the same, CM Adityanath on Sunday (5 April) during a video conference with religious leaders of different communities sought their suggestions to maintain social distancing post 14 April.
This came after earlier in the day CM Adityanath, in an interaction with Members of Parliament and Ministers from the State sought their suggestions to stop sudden crowding on the streets post the lifting up of lockdown. He stressed, "If there are suggestions, it can help us plan strategy on how to maintain social distancing after 15 April."
During his interaction with religious leaders, CM Adityanath underscored that around 66,000 people had died across the world and that a pandemic does not look at face, caste or religion. He stressed, "It strikes whosoever is negligent."
He further added, "At a time when the country is fighting it, it is the responsibility of all to ensure we win this fight."

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
