Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that it has postponed the Chartered Accountancy Final exam on 2 June to avoid clash with the UPSC Civil Services 2019, IANS has reported.
ICAI had earlier postponed the exam scheduled on 2 June to 4 June and subsequently the exam which was to be conducted on 4 June to 13 June by citing unavoidable reasons.
The reason has now been revealed to be the institute’s decision to ensure that the dates of the exam don’t clash with the UPSC Civil Services prelims exam which is to be held on 2 June. The institute had to take this step after the exam centres expressed their inability to conduct the exam on that date due to the aforementioned reason.
ICAI has also taken care to ensure that the Group-1 exams get over before the Group-II exams begin.
The exam on 9 June for Foundation students has also been postponed to 13 June so that the candidates find it easier as the foundation exam for Institute of Company Secretaries of India is also scheduled on the same date.
