The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the result of UPSC Civil Services Mains Examination 2020 today. Candidates can check the result on the official website of the exam conducting body here.
After being postponed from October 2020, the UPSC Civil Services (Main) Examination was conducted a month back in January 2021. The Main examination consists of nine papers, all subjective. Each paper consists of close to 20 questions.
Earlier, UPSC had released the Prelims 2020 result within 20 days after conducting the exam on 4 October. The Prelims exam was also delayed from a previous date in June 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The UPSC Mains result will shortlist the candidates for the next step - the personality test or interview. The final UPSC Result is calculated based on candidates’ marks in Mains as well as the interview.

The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
