Uttar Pradesh Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Mahasabha president Ranjit Bachchan has been shot and killed in state capital Lucknow, reports India Today.
This incident happened when he went on a morning walk in Hazratganj area on Sunday (2 February). As per reports, the miscreants on the bike opened fire on him killed him on spot. He was shot in the head multiple times
As per preliminary reports, a 9 mm pistol has been used to carry out the murder incident.
Moreover, Ranjit Bachchan's brother also suffered bullet injuries and has been rushed to the trauma centre.
The attack comes just month after Hindu Mahasabha leader Kamlesh Tiwari was shot dead by radical Islamists.
The police have begun their investigations and teams have been formed to arrest the killers.
