In a retaliatory strike against Pakistan’s unprovoked firing at its troops along the International Boundary (IB), the Border Security Force destroyed the enemy’s bunkers and forced to plead for a ceasefire, NDTV has reported.
A 19-second thermal-imagery footage released by the BSF shows the destruction of a Pakistani picket across the border. A rocket is seen flying towards its target and hitting a structure, causing a massive explosion.

India retaliated in the strategic ‘Chicken's Neck’ area, which is surrounded on three sides by Pakistan. The area is in the Akhnoor district, 30 km from Jammu.
The BSF decided to pound Pakistani posts after it lost two of its jawans in the latest round of unprovoked shelling from the Pakistani side. While a jawan was martyred on Friday, another jawan was killed in Pakistani firing on 15 May.
A number of civilians have also been killed and thousands forced to flee from villages along the IB due to Pakistan’s firing and shelling.
"(Pakistan) Rangers called up Jammu BSF formation today and beseeched to stop firing," a BSF spokesperson said.
"The befitting reply by BSF units to the shelling and firing across the IB by Pakistani forces has forced them to plead for ceasefire," a senior official said.
"For the last three days, the precision fire of BSF inflicted heavy losses and yesterday, one of the rangers was in chicken neck area," the official added.
