A footage of the Indian Air Force’s Mirage 2000 aircraft equipped with Spice 2000 bombs, making it identical to the jets used during the Balakot air strike has been released by defence website Livefist.

The stationary Mirage 2000 jet in its Balakot configuration was clicked at the Gwalior Air Force base which is home to Mirage squadrons.
A package of 12 Mirage 2000 jets had created history in the early hours of 26 February when they crossed over into Pakistani territory to drop Spice 2000 bombs at a major terrorist training centre of the Jaish-e-Mohammed in Balakot.
Estimates suggest that the air strike eliminated around 200 to 300 terrorists which had an accuracy rate of 80 per cent.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
