Pakistan’s Federal Minister for water resources Faisal Vawda has called for an extrajudicial hanging of 5,000 citizens to change the fortunes of the Islamic nation (for the better).
In a video posted by journalist Hamid Mir, the Minister can be seen boasting that his government would have hanged 5,000 people if it had the power, to change the fortunes of 22 crore people in the country.

After being questioned if legal proceedings could be followed to ensure the hanging of 5,000 people - whose identity has yet not been disclosed, the minister claimed that it was impossible to implement.
He also claimed that if his government makes the list public, those on it would run away from the country.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
