Three Rafale fighter jets landed in Bengaluru’s Yehalanka Air Base on Wednesday (13 February) to participate in Aero India 2019.
As per reports, the jets touched down at the Yehalanka Air Base at about 6.30 pm. A video of the landing was shared by ANI on twitter:
The jets will be flown by top Indian Air Force (IAF) officials like IAF Deputy Chief Air Marshal Vivek Chaudhari.
Besides Rafale, some of the jets on display would be IAF’s own Mirage-2000s, MiG-21s; F/A-18 Super Hornet, F-16, Airbus 330-900neo and a full scale replica of Saab’s Gripen E. In total, 61 aircraft would either fly or be displayed in a static condition during the show.
The Aero India will take place from 20 to 24 February for which an air space familiarisation and briefing will take place on 15 February, following which practice would start.
