In a video shared on Twitter, a cop can be seen running to protect himself from the violent mob. However, the agitated crowd began showering punches, kicks, and sticks on him after he fell on the road.
There is no information as of now whether the cop was rescued or not.
In another incident from Ahmadabad, some copes were surrounded in a market area by a violent mob and pelted with bricks and stones.
The cops can be seen hiding behind chairs and shields while a big crowd continues to attack them.
