A journalist while covering Historian Ramchandra Guha’s protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) proceeded to ask who he is after the latter’s passionate rant against the act.

In the video, Guha while holding a poster of B R Ambedkar claimed that his protest was against the CAA which he described as a totally discriminatory and anti-constitutional.

He slammed the imposition of section 144 by the “masters in Delhi” and called it a relic of the British Raj in a pluralistic and democratic India. He also proceeded to slam the Narendra Modi led central government for threatening the Hindu-Muslim plurality.

At the and of the statement, the journalist covering his soundbyte calmly asked, “yeah, and your good name sir”. Guha though did not get flustered and proceeded to mention his full name.

He was detained earlier in the day for violating section 144 and has since then been released.
