The Uttar Pradesh police on Friday (6 December) reminded Mayawati the action it has taken against criminals in the state after she accused them of inaction.
While speaking to ANI, BSP supremo Mayawati demanded that the UP Police learns from their Hyderabad counterparts and take action against those involved in crimes against women. She further alleged that in current day UP, criminals are being treated as state guests.
The UP Police though decided not to sit back and promptly responded to her statement on Twitter.
The figures speak for themselves. Jungle Raj is a thing of the past. No longer now.

103 criminals killed and 1859 injured in 5178 police engagements in the last more than 2 years.
17745 criminals surrendered or cancelled their own bails to go to jail.
Hardly state guests. https://t.co/3Tk8qFLtK3
The UP Police reminded Mayawati that the state cops have killed 103 criminals and injured 1,859 in over 5,100 police encounters in the last two years. As a result of police action, almost 18,000 criminals opted to cancel their bail and go to jail.
Incidentally, Mayawati who is now encouraging police encounter, has a couple of years ago opposed them by questioning whether the criminals belong to any particular class or community.
