Addressing a rally in Kolkata ahead of the upcoming State Assembly elections in West Bengal, Trinamool Congress (TMC)'s supremo and Chief Minister (CM) Mamata Banerjee made a call for four rotating national capitals instead of the one, reports Times of India.
Speaking on the occasion of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's 125th birth anniversary, CM Banerjee said, "I believe that India must have four rotating capitals. The English ruled the entire country from Kolkata. Why should there be only one capital city in our country."

Attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), she asked, "Why was the national Planning Commission, which was conceptualised by Netaji in independent India, dissolved?"
Asserting that her party is in touch with Netaji's family, CM Banerjee said, "We don't remember Netaji only before the elections. He is in our hearts 365 days".
Taking a shot at Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi led Central government, CM Banerjee also asked why was the demand for a holiday on Netaji's birthday has not been met yet?
She also alleged that Centre did not consult her while declaring Netaji's birthday as 'Parakram Diwas'.
