With the imminent arrival of Reliance Jio’s GigaFiber sending waves across the broadband sector, the existing service providers are on a pampering spree to add as many customers as possible and retain their current base, reports India Today.
One among them, ACT Fibernet is now offering extra benefits up to six months additional data subscription over its long-term plans in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
For its Bengaluru customers, ACT has rolled out an additional six-month subscription with its yearly plan. With a threshold allotment of 2,500 GB data at the speed of 1 Gbps and a post FUP speed is set at 1 Mbps. However, the monthly subscription tariff remains at a pocket burning Rs 5,999.
The Hyderabad customers are offered six-month free internet with an 18-month advance payment on ACT’s A-Max 675, A-Max 1050, A-Max 1299 and Incredible 1999 plans.
But, the above-mentioned benefits are only meant for the customers who go for advanced subscriptions as ACT is playing a wait and watch the game with Jio GigaFiber yet to arrive.
However, Jio is not only expected to roll out a high-speed broadband service at trendsetting levels of low prices but also add-ons in the form of IPTV service along with a landline for free voice calls. The highly awaited launch is expected to be during Reliance Industries Annual General Meeting on 12 August.
