Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has crossed the 10 lakh export milestone from Mundra port in Gujarat within a decade of commencing operations from the port, PTI reports.
"Within a decade of commencement of exports from Mundra, we achieved the significant milestone of shipping the one-millionth car," MSI Managing Director and CEO Kenichi Ayukawa said.
MSI exports to 125 countries with shipments from Mundra reaching out to geographies like Latin America and Europe. It also exports its four-wheelers from Mumbai port and cumulative exports have touched the 18 lakh mark till now.
The company operates a pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and a stockyard at the port and had begun operations from 2009. 14 of its models are exported to the foreign market by MSI, with Alto K10, Celerio, Baleno, Ignis and Dzire forming the majority of exports.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
