Popular Bengali actress Moon Moon Sen who is contesting the Lok Sabha polls on a Trinamool ticket was caught making excuses when she was quizzed about the political violence in the state, NDTV reported.

As per the report Sen defended her alleged ignorance over this matter by claiming that she woke up very late as her associates delayed giving her the customary bed tea.

After the reporter pressed Sen about the political violence, she replied in a patronising tone that she was too young to see the violence which happened during the communist era.

Sen though failed to mention that Asansol today morning (29 April) saw Trinamool workers clashing with security personnel to try and conduct polling without central forces. The car of incumbent BJP MP Babul Supriyo was vandalised, allegedly by TMC workers.

Sen added that Trinamool has ‘won the Asansol Lok Sabha seat’ and claimed that she wasn’t here when communal riots took place in the region. Sen also acknowledged that she has been very busy and thus couldn’t speak to the riot victims.
