Zoomcar Takes The EV Route: Partners With Tata Motors To Launch Electric Vehicle Rentals In Pune

Zoomcar, which is an app-based car rental company, has partnered with Tata Motors to start a new offering of Tata Tigor electric cars on its platform in Pune, reports Financial Express.

The president of Tata Motors’ electric mobility division and corporate strategy Shailesh Chandra and co-founder and CEO of Zoomcar Greg Moran inaugurated the first set of Tigor vehicles in Pune on Thursday (20 December).

Chandra, during the inauguration noted that zero-emission technologies will increasingly drive the future of mobility and that Tata Motors is looking to collaborate with like-minded companies to accelerate the creation of the clean energy ecosystem- the partnership with Zoomcar being part of the initiative in Pune.

Moran was of the belief that this marked the beginning of Zoomcar’s entry into the electric mobility space and his company will aim to expand the offering to 20 cities and 500 electric vehicles through the next year.
