Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to be welcomed by 2,500 folk artistes performing on 100 platforms built along the road when he arrives in Ayodhya for Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha today (22 January).
These platforms have been set up by the Uttar Pradesh Culture Department from Ayodhya Airport, where the PM will land around 10:25 am, to the entry gate of Ram Temple premises.
An official was quoted as saying by The Indian Express, "Through various forms of dance, music, and singing, the folk artistes will showcase the splendour of Treta Yuga in Ayodhya. A rehearsal for this event was conducted on Sunday."
President Droupadi Murmu wrote to PM Modi on the eve of the Ram Mandir event and said, "I can only contemplate the unique civilisational journey that will be accomplished."
She said that the 11-day anushthan undertaken by the PM "is not only a sacred ritual but also a supreme spiritual act of sacrifice and submission to Prabhu Shri Ram" and sent wishes to him.
Calling the temple inauguration "an uninhibited expression of the eternal soul of India ", she said, "We all are fortunate to witness the commencement of a new cycle in the resurgence of our nation."
