After Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha Suspends 45 Opposition MPs For Sloganeering, Creating Chaos Over Security Breach Issue

After 33 opposition MPs were suspended from Lok Sabha earlier today (18 December), Rajya Sabha suspended 45 opposition MPs for sloganeering and creating chaos over the parliament security breach issue.
Various leaders of the Congress party like Pramod Tiwari, Jairam Ramesh, Randeep Surjewala, Syed Naseer Hussain, Phulo Devi Netam, Shakti Singh Gohil, KC Venugopal, Rajani Ashokrao Patil and Imran Pratagarhi were suspended.
Notably, 34 MPs including above mentioned Congress MPs, TMC's Sukhendu Sekhar Ray and Santanu Sen and RJD's Manoj Kumar Jha have been suspended for the remaining Winter Session, while the suspension of 11 MPs has been referred to the Privilege Committee.
Earlier, Lok Sabha suspended 30 leaders for the remaining Winter Session while the matter of suspension of three other Lok Sabha MPs Abdul Khaliq, Vijay Vasanth and K Jeyakumar was referred to the Privileges Committee.
Among those suspended were Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Saugata Roy, Dayanidhi Maran, TR Balu, Kalyan Banerjee and A Raja. Earlier, a total of 14 MPs were suspended from Lok Sabha and one Derek O'Brien from Rajya Sabha.
This takes the total count of suspended MPs in today's parliamentary proceedings to 78. In total, 92 MPs have been suspended in the ongoing Winter Session.
