Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday (30 October) launched a sharp attack on the Congress leadership, asserting that the INDI Alliance will be “wiped out” in the upcoming Bihar elections.

Addressing a rally in Lakhisarai, Shah said voters would “take revenge” for Congress workers allegedly insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother and for Rahul Gandhi “deriding” the Prime Minister and ‘Chhathi Maiyya,’ reported The New Indian Express.

Shah accused Rahul Gandhi of insulting ‘Chhathi Maiyya’ while criticising PM Modi.

Taking a dig at Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, he urged people to press the EVM buttons marked with NDA symbols with such rage that the tremors are "felt in Italy."

The Home Minister accused the previous RJD governments under Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi of imposing a “jungle raj” in Bihar, saying that the state witnessed development only under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership and the Modi government at the Centre.

He alleged that the UPA government was involved in scams worth Rs 12 lakh crore, whereas no one could point fingers at Modi or Nitish Kumar for wrongdoing.

He also contrasted Lalu Prasad's tenure—marked by "fodder, land-for-jobs, bitumen, and flood relief scams"—with what he described as NDA’s focus on progress.

Highlighting central projects, Shah said the Modi government had invested Rs 18 lakh crore in Bihar’s road, rail, and expressway projects and established a Makhana Board.

He announced a new medical college in Lakhisarai named after Bihar’s first chief minister, Shri Krishna Sinha, and revealed plans for a Rs 850-crore temple at Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi, to be linked by direct train to Ayodhya’s Ram Temple.

He added that under PM Modi, India retaliated to every terror attack with strikes inside Pakistan and vowed to “drive out infiltrators from Bihar.”
