Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday (17 July) declared that a strong message has gone out to the world that India will not tolerate threats to its citizens, borders, or armed forces, reported Deccan Herald.
Speaking in Jaipur at an event marking International Cooperatives Year-2025, Shah emphasised that anyone who challenges India will face serious consequences.
Referring to anti-terror operations conducted by the armed forces under Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government, Shah highlighted, “When the Uri attack occurred, PM Modi took decisive action and a surgical strike was carried out. Following the Pulwama attack, an airstrike was done. And when an attack took place in Pahalgam, Operation Sindoor was launched, targeting terrorists within Pakistan and eliminating them.”
He asserted that PM Modi has taken the strongest steps to ensure national security, unlike the past Congress regime which, he said, saw frequent terror attacks.
Shah praised PM Modi’s leadership, saying, "Modi's actions sent a strong message globally. Through them, Modi conveyed a powerful message to the world that India's citizens, armed forces, and borders should not be messed with. Anyone who dares to do so has to face consequences".
He credited PM Modi for transforming India into the world’s fourth-largest economy and lifting 27 crore people out of poverty.
He commended Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma for tackling issues like paper leaks by forming an SIT and attracting MoUs worth Rs 35 lakh crore, with Rs 3 lakh crore already in progress.
Shah highlighted the growth of cooperatives, stating, “With the vision of reaching every corner of the nation, Modi established a Ministry of Cooperation.”
He mentioned the establishment of 40,000 primary agricultural credit societies (PACS) and progress toward creating two lakh more.
He also noted research initiatives on camels and praised Rajasthan’s agricultural efforts.
During his visit, Shah inaugurated 28 grain warehouses and 60 millet outlets virtually and toured a cooperative products exhibition.
