In the wake of the tragic incident at Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City, where reportedly hundreds lost their lives, Hyderabad-based politician Asaduddin Owaisi has announced plans to host a protest public meeting.
The incident occurred on 17 October.
Israel attributed the incident to a failed rocket launch by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group, which the latter denied. Palestinian officials have claimed that it was an Israeli airstrike, labeling it a "massacre".
Owaisi's event is set to take place on 23 October after 6pm at Darussalam, Hyderabad, and may involve the participation of leaders from various political parties and organisations.
The gathering claims to address the humanitarian aspects of the tragedy, focusing on the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
