A day after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal's assault allegations, the party accepted that a "condemnable incident" indeed took place at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence.

In a press conference on Tuesday (14 May), AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh informed that while Swati Maliwal was waiting for Kejriwal in the drawing room, Vibhav Kumar came there and misbehaved with her.

Vibhav Kumar is Kejriwal's PA, against whom Maliwal made two PCR calls to Delhi Police around 10 am from the CM’s residence. He was also summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Delhi liquor policy case.

"Arvind Kejriwal has taken cognizance of the incident and has directed for strict action in the incident. Swati Maliwal is one of the senior leaders and we stand with her. We don't support any offender," Singh said on behalf of AAP.

Vibhav Kumar recently came into the spotlight after the Delhi Vigilance Department sacked him from the position of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s personal secretary, citing “illegal appointment."
