A day after the blast at Bengaluru's popular cafe, CCTV footage captured a man wearing a cap, glasses, and a mask has emerged as a key suspect in the investigation into the blast at Rameshwaram Cafe.
As per the CCTV footage, the individual appears to be in a rush, walking briskly and glancing at his watch, exhibiting a pace faster than typical pedestrians on the sidewalk.
The blast, which occurred around 12:56 pm on Friday (1 March), injured nine people, with one woman sustaining severe injuries.
According to police sources, the suspect was seen entering the cafe about an hour before the explosion and had a snack before leaving.
The blast was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) concealed in a tiffin box bag left near the hand-wash area.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the IED was triggered by a digital timer, using a filament detonator.
