Political commentator and election strategist Prashant Kishor has predicted a "big loss" for Jagan Mohan Reddy in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections.

In the 2019 elections, the Reddy-led YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) won 151 of the 175 seats in the state. However, Kishor believes that due to a "series of blunders," he is looking at a loss from this landslide victory.

Kishor said that the biggest mistake of Reddy was that he started to act like people's provider and started running welfare schemes without any aspirations or vision for the state.

"Jagan Mohan Reddy will be shocked on 4 June when results will come because he will learn it very hard way," Kishor said attacking the Andhra Pradesh CM for not improving the state's condition.

He accused Reddy of demeaning Panchayati Raj Institutions with his new model of decentralised governance that includes volunteers, which are mostly YSRC workers.

"Taking people for granted has a price to pay and Jagan will pay a very heavy price," Kishor said adding that YS Sharmila's political fight against Jagan shows "how many people have been let down by Jagan."

He cited that Sharmila was the one, who worked hard for Jagan in 2019 but is now compelled to fight against her own brother. He predicted that YSRCP will be down to from where it began.

"There is no greater sin than being ungrateful," he accused Reddy of being ungrateful towards his sister, mother, voters and Prashant Kishor and said that he will have to pay the price.
