Bihar Minister Santosh Kumar Singh has filed a FIR after receiving death threats from a caller claiming to be gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Singh disclosed that the caller demanded Rs 30 lakh and threatened to kill him in a manner similar to the killing of former MLA and NCP leader Baba Siddique.

Singh recounted: “...I received a call some time ago, and the caller identified himself as Lawrence Bishnoi. He demanded Rs 30 lakh. I denied the demand and cut the call. He called again, reminding me of Baba Siddiqui and threatening to kill me in the same way if I didn’t pay the money. I hung up again, but he kept calling, claiming he knew everything about me. I then asked him how to send the money, and he sent me a scanner for the transaction.”

The minister informed the state’s Director General of Police (DGP) about the incident and later filed an FIR.

“I have no cases against me and no political enemies. Let the investigation report come. This Rs 30 lakh demand will cost him a lot,” Singh said, as quoted by news agency ANI.

Meanwhile in a different event, Delhi Police arrested four individuals for extorting money from Delhi-based doctors by posing as aides of Lawrence Bishnoi.

The accused include Rishi Sharma, Arun Verma, Sabal Singh, and Harsh.

Police revealed that Sabal Singh is a 'gram pradhan' from Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri district. The gang had previously duped people by offering fake mobile tower installations, officials said.
