Exit polls for the Delhi Assembly Election 2025 are predicting a close race, with most polls suggesting a possible victory for BJP.
However, it should be noted that exit polls are not always right.
There are 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly and the majority mark is set at 36.
Most polls indicate a potential win for BJP after a long hiatus, predicting that the party could secure between 35-60 seats.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is shown with a slightly lower projection, while Congress is largely expected to garner minimal seats.
Seven exit polls - DV Research, Chanakaya Strategies, JVC, Poll Diary, P-Marq, People's Insight, and People's Pulse - are predicting a victory for the BJP.
Most of the polls are predicting over 36 seats for the BJP in the national capital assembly. If these results hold true on the counting day, this will mark the BJP's comeback to power in Delhi after 27 years.
The WeePreside exit poll is the only outlier, predicting that Arvind Kejriwal's AAP could secure between 46 and 52 seats.
Since the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) appeared in Delhi's political landscape in 2013, exit polls have shown mixed accuracy.
Initially, polls predicted outcomes like the hung Assembly in 2013 but underestimated AAP's seat count in subsequent elections.
While the 2015 polls predicted 45 seats for AAP and they won 67, by 2020, exit poll predictions improved significantly, closely estimating AAP's 62-seat victory, indicating enhanced accuracy over the years, Indian Express reported.
