With two lists disclosed till now, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has declared 267 candidates, dropping 63 sitting MPs.
The number of tickets cut was relatively higher in the second list as 30 sitting MPs of the 72 declared seats were dropped, while in the first list, only 33 MPs among the 195 seats were dropped.
Most tickets were cut in Karnataka where among the 20 declared seats, only 10 sitting MPs were repeated, while the other 10 were replaced with Shobha Karandlaje getting a chance from Bangalore North.
All seven candidates of Delhi have been declared and only Manoj Tiwari is repeated, rest six are new faces. Among the seven declared Gujarat candidates, only three are sitting MPs.
Similar is the case in Haryana, where only three sitting MPs are repeated among the six declared candidates. The sitting MP has also been replaced on Tripura's one declared seat.
Of the five Madhya Pradesh seats, only two MPs are repeated and one new candidate has been declared for the seat won by Congress' Nakul Nath in 2019.
Two candidates each were declared from Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. While Himachal MPs are being repeated, Uttarakhand MPs have been replaced.
Relief for incumbent MPs came in Maharashtra as among the 20 declared seats, 14 MPs have been repeated while Pankaja Munde got a ticket from Beed in place of her brother Pritam Munde.
