The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday (26 March) released its sixth list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections comprising three names, two from Rajasthan and one from Manipur.
On all three seats, the incumbent BJP MPs have been dropped. Indu Devi Jatav replaced two-time MP Dr Manoj Rajoria in Karauli-Dholpur, a constituency reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates.
Similarly, in Dausa, a constituency reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates, sitting BJP MP Jaskaur Meena is replaced by Kanhaiya Lal Meena.
Congress has fielded sitting Dausa MLA Murari Lal Meena. Meena has won Assembly elections from Dausa thrice, in 2008, 2018 and 2023.
In Inner Manipur, the sitting BJP MP Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh is replaced by Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh. He is the sitting MLA from Nambol and minister in the Manipur government.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
