The Congress plans to extend invitations to all chief ministers of opposition parties and presidents of all parties belonging to the INDI Alliance for the concluding public rally of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park on 17 March.

This rally will mark the beginning of the opposition's campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, as per a report by The Indian Express.

Starting from Nandurbar district on 12 March, the yatra will travel through Maharashtra, passing through Dhule, Nashik, Palghar, and Thane districts before reaching Mumbai.

According to the same report, the concluding rally at Shivaji Park is expected to be one of the largest in recent times.

Invitations have been sent to all opposition chief ministers and party chiefs from the INDI Alliance, including Congress chief ministers, as well as chief ministers of Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Delhi, and Punjab.

"This rally will showcase opposition unity and mark the beginning of the poll campaign," the leader said.

The event will particularly demonstrate the strength of the tripartite Maha Vikas Aghadi comprising the Congress, Shiv Sena, and Nationalist Congress Party.

In preparation for the yatra and the rally, the Congress has formed two committees.

Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole will lead the coordination committee for the yatra, while Leader of Opposition in the legislative assembly Vijay Wadettiwar will chair the public rally coordination panel.
