Congress is set to return to power in Haryana after 10 years, exit polls have predicted.

In Haryana, the party appears poised to make the next government, ending the decade-long rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Meanwhile, the Congress-National Conference could lead in Jammu and Kashmir, though the state seems headed for a divided verdict.

Data from four exit polls collectively point to the Congress securing 55 out of 90 seats in Haryana, placing them well above the required majority of 45.

Two surveys, Dhruv Research and People's Pulse, have given the BJP an optimistic estimate of up to 32 seats in Haryana, the highest figure among exit polls.

Abhay Chautala’s Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) is expected to secure three seats, while the BJP’s former partner, the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), may win just one seat in Haryana.

Despite governing in neighbouring Delhi and Punjab, exit polls suggest that Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party is unlikely to secure any seats in Haryana.

In Jammu and Kashmir, post-delimitation, the Congress-National Conference coalition is projected to win 43 seats, just short of the majority by three.

An aggregate of three exit polls suggest that the Congress-National Conference alliance will secure 43 seats, while the BJP’s tally of 26 leaves it distant from the majority threshold.

The BJP's erstwhile ally, Mehbooba Mufti's Peoples Democratic Party, likely to win eight seats, is hoping to emerge as the kingmaker.

However, it is worth noting that exit polls are not always accurate.
