The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) will proceed with the proposed Harnandipuram township project, a significant development for Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad, reported India TV.
Officials commissioned a private consultant to prepare a detailed project report (DPR), which aims to expedite the project near the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. They expect the DPR's first phase to conclude within two months.
The GDA invited tenders for a consultant in April, and then assigned the private consultant the task of preparing the report.
The planned township, located near the Delhi-Meerut road and the RRTS corridor, will offer state-of-the-art facilities, including easy access to the metro and RRTS. Developers promise enhanced connectivity, modern amenities, efficient power management, and street lighting.
Concurrently with the DPR preparation, the GDA has begun purchasing land directly from farmers for the township's first phase. They will acquire land from eight villages, including Nagla Firozpur Mohan, Champat Nagar, Mathurapur, Shamsher, and Bhandara Khurd.
Additionally, the GDA plans a new elevated road for Harnandipuram residents, providing direct, improved connectivity to Delhi. A report indicates the GDA proposes modeling the road after the existing Hindon elevated road, known for its signal-free travel.
