The 29-year-old accused reportedly came in contact with a Pakistani agent, who claimed to be Aditi Bharadwaj, through WhatsApp in 2023.

On 1 May, Gohil was call for a preliminary investigation by the STF.

During the preliminary questioning, STF officials found that the agent had specifically sought visuals of IAF and BSF locations from Gohil.

A forensic probe revealed that the numbers through which Gohil used to shared the content were operated from Pakistan.

Gohil reportedly received a cash payment of Rs 40,000 from an unknown individual.
