A handle named 'Metikurke' on the social media platform X shared screenshots of his chat with 'BlinkIt Support' complaining about a notification which was in Hindi but written in English script.

Metikurke, who calls himself a proud Kannadiga in his X bio, said, "Blinkit (fast grocery delivery app) sent a harmful notification and wished me 'Gaya,' which means 'wound' in Kannada."

He was referring to a notification that read, "Suno ji! Dekho ye order 12 minutes mein deliver ho bhi gaya (listen, see this ordered got delivered in 12 minutes)."

"I told them, if I received one more threatening notification, I would lodge a police complaint. After that they stopped sending nonsense in alien languages. That's how we need to deal!" Metikurke said on X.

In the screenshots shared, he can be seen harassing the BlinkIt employee by questioning why the company is doing business in Bengaluru when it is incapable of providing service in Kannada.

"Kannada is the sole official language of Bengaluru," he said. The support staff clarified that the messages were simple notifications and not any threat.

While registering a complain about it, Metikuru said, "Why are you sending me that in alien languages? Gaya is wound, it's a threat. You are threatening your loyal customer."

He was called out by various netizens for unnecessarily creating an issue out of nothing. Some advised him to get a life or get a job or close the notifications.

A few others objected to him calling Hindi 'an alien language' as it is the official language of India. A few questioned him about writing X post in English instead of Kannada.
