"If Pakistanis Are Settled Across Your Street...": Arvind Kejriwal Continues Fear-Mongering On CAA, Hints At Law And Order Situation

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reiterated his statements on the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) on Thursday (14 March), in response to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's statement that CAA Will not be taken back.

Kejriwal claimed that the CAA-induced migration would be much higher than what happened during the partition and questioned how the government would manage it. He estimates the number to be 1.5-2 crore.

On the cutoff date of 31 December 2014, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo said, "Illegal migrants are coming even after 2014 and continue to come daily. The date will be extended to 2019, then 2024 and so on."

Kejriwal blamed the Centre for the settlement of Rohingyas by claiming that they came after 2014 when the BJP was in power. He questioned whether it was done in collusion or the incompetence of the Union government.

The AAP chief claimed that government jobs will be given to Pakistan infiltrators. He pointed out that despite repeated requests, ration cards for Delhi were not increased but ration cards will be given to Pakistanis.

"Taxpayers' money will be spent on the rehabilitation of people from Pakistan and Bangladesh. If Pakistanis are settled across your street, will you accept it, will your daughters be safe?", Kejriwal questioned.

"Who will be these people? Pakistan will send many of them. Will our country be safe? A law and order situation will arise. That is my concern. We should learn from other nations like Canada and UK," he added.

"If you want to bring people, bring those 11 lakh industrialists and capitalists back who left India due to poor policies of the BJP government. When they come, they will invest and give employment," he concluded.
