Indian Railways has launched a new mobile application, RailOne, to serve as a one-stop solution for all passenger-related services, Indian Express reported.

The app, developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), was unveiled by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday (1 July) during CRIS’s 40th Foundation Day.

RailOne consolidates multiple services that were earlier available through separate applications.

It allows users to book reserved, unreserved, and platform tickets, check PNR status, track live train movements, file grievances through Rail Madad, and order food via e-catering, all from a single platform.

A key benefit for users is a 3 per cent discount on unreserved and platform tickets booked through the app.

Existing users of RailConnect and UTSonMobile can use their current credentials to log in, while a Guest Login option via mobile OTP is available for enquiry-only access.

The app also includes R-Wallet integration for seamless payments and supports login via mPIN and biometric authentication.

Additional features include coach position display at platforms, feedback submission, and refund applications in case of cancellations. However, freight-related services are not yet integrated.

Earlier, passengers had to use separate apps, UTS for unreserved tickets, Rail Connect for reserved bookings, Rail Madad for complaints, NTES for train status, and IRCTC for food services.

“The existing app will continue working. Those apps have not been discontinued. But since these apps have been merged with RailOne, it will be better to use it to avoid additional device space and the burden of remembering several passwords,” a senior railway official said was quoted as saying by the Indian Express.
