IRCTC Resumes Its Luxury 'Golden Chariot' Service Spanning The Best Of South India, At Over Rs 3 Lakh

  • IRCTC has also introduced a new tour package starting from next Sunday — Jewels of South India — a four days-three nights package, covering Mysuru, Tamil Nadu, Mahabalipuram, Thanjavur, Chettinad and Kerala backwaters, Hampi and Kochi fort.
  • IRCTC has resumed the operations of Golden Chariot, a luxury train which takes tourists across south Indian destinations in the states of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Goa.

    The official twitter handle of IRCTC tweeted, “Vacation times are back now. The Golden Chariot Train embarked on its 6Nights/7 Days “Pride of Karnataka” itinerary from Yesvantpur Bengaluru Railway Station today amid traditional Indian welcome and hospitality to the picturesque landscape & destinations of South India.”

    Ajay Kumar Singh, General Manager, South-Western Railways, inspected and interacted with passengers who embarked on the train.

    The Golden Chariot package will take travellers to the sights of Bandipur national park, Mysuru, Halebidu, Chikkamagaluru and Goa, and to Unesco world heritage sites of Badami Caves, Pattadakal temples and Hampi palace and the ruins of Vijayanagara.

    IRCTC has also introduced a new tour package starting from next Sunday — Jewels of South India — a four days-three nights package, covering Mysuru, Tamil Nadu, Mahabalipuram, Thanjavur, Chettinad and Kerala back waters, Hampi and Kochi fort.

    The tour packages include all onboard meals, necessary intermediate transport to sights, covering entry tickets and guide charges to all sights, making the traveller’s experience hassle-free. The packages are priced at Rs. 3,20,130 and for a single supplement at Rs. 2,40,100.
