Prime Minister Narendra Modi targeted the opposition while speaking at a public meeting in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram. He said, "The Congress and the Communists are each other's enemies in Kerala, but in other states, they are BFFs. BFFs means best friends forever."

Modi also claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) can get double-digit seats in Kerala in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Kerala has a total of 20 Lok Sabha seats, of which Congress-led coalition won 19 seats in the 2019 elections.

The PM said, "In 2019 there was hope for BJP, which has now turned into belief. In 2019, Kerala gave us vote share in double digits, this time it will give us seats in double digits," and reiterated 'Abki baar, 400 paar' slogan.

He also raised the issue of the Communist Party of India (CPI) announcing a candidate for Wayanad, from where Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is currently the MP. Modi said, "They are asking Yuvraj to go out of Kerala but eat chai-samosa together outside Kerala."

Modi highlighted that despite the Kerala government being non-cooperative with the Central government, he kept Kerala a priority and declared that examinations for Central government jobs will be now conducted in regional languages as well.
