'Let's Wait And See': Udhayanidhi Stalin On Pawan Kalyan's 'Sanatana Dharma Cannot Be Wiped Out But Those Who Said So Can Be' Remark

The two Deputy Chief Ministers of the two south Indian neighbouring states are engaged in a war of words over Sanatana Dharma.

After Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan said that 'Sanatana Dharma cannot be wiped out and who said those would be wiped out', Tamil Nadu Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin said "Let's wait and see."

Last year, Stalin had said, "Sanatana dharma should be eradicated like dengue and malaria." Referring to this, Kalyan made remarks on Thursday (3 October) without naming Stalin.

While addressing a gathering on 'Varahi Declaration' over Tirupati laddus controversy, Kalyan said, "To all pseudo secularists, I will make my stand clear to you today, I am an unapologetic Hindu."

"Sanatana Dharma is going to stay here. People like you might come and go, but Sanatana Dharma goes on forever. It would not stop. It is beyond," the Jana Sena Party (JSP) supremo added.

Kalyan was on a three-day trip to Tirumala, part of an 11-day penance aimed at seeking divine intervention over the alleged adulteration. On Wednesday, he performed prayers at the Tirumala temple.

He urged a non-cooperation to individuals or organisations that defame or spread hatred against Sanatana Dharma. He also called for implementation of Sanathana Dharma Certification.

"A strong national Act is required to protect Sanatana Dharma and prevent actions that harm its beliefs. This Act should be enacted immediately and uniformly enforced across the Bharat," Kalyan said.

"A 'Sanatana Dharma Protection Board' should be established at both the national and state level to oversee the implementation of this Act. Annual funds must be allocated to support this board and its activities," he added.
