Over 100 terrorists were neutralised in Indian military strike on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) as part of Operation Sindoor, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said during the all-party meeting on Thursday (8 May), NDTV reported.

Singh also warned Pakistan against escalating the conflict any further.

Singh told the opposition leaders that Sindoor remains an "ongoing operation".

While India seeks no further confrontation, he said, it will strike again if Pakistani forces attack.

The opposition parties also backed the Centre’s anti-terror operations.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said, "We heard what they said... they also said some information had to remain confidential. We said 'we are all with the government'."

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the all-party meet was cordial, with leaders showing “maturity”. He called it a display of “broad political consensus”.

"The meeting was chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who briefed everyone about the Operation Sindoor and all the leaders gave their suggestions. All the leaders have shown maturity at a time when we are all working together. Everyone has hailed and congratulated the armed forces for Operation Sindoor, and said that we will support the government and armed forces. We have received a few suggestions as well... The Defence Minister said we don't form the government just to rule", Kiren Rijiju told reporters after the meeting, ANI reported.

The 'Operation Sindoor' phase one on early Wednesday lasted 25 minutes, striking nine terror camps in Pakistan and PoJK using SCALP missiles, HAMMER bombs, and other precision-guided munitions.

Targets included Lashkar and Jaish bases— terror groups linked to the Pahalgam and 2019 Pulwama attacks respectively.

Lashkar’s proxy carried out the Pahalgam attack in which 26 people, most civilians.

According to the Indian Army, the targets were chosen based on "credible intelligence and their involvement in cross-border terrorism".

No Pak military establishment was targeted and the operation was timed to minimise civilian casualties.
