Renowned AI researcher and podcaster Lex Fridman announced on Sunday (19 January) that he will travel to India in February to host a podcast featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Fridman expressed his enthusiasm about experiencing India's rich cultural heritage during his upcoming visit.
"I will be doing a podcast with Narendra Modi (@narendramodi), Prime Minister of India, at the end of February. I've never been to India, so I'm excited to finally visit and experience many facets of its vibrant, historic culture and its amazing people as fully as I can," Fridman wrote in a post on X.
Widely recognised for his in-depth discussions with global leaders, Fridman is expected to delve into topics such as India's expanding role in technology, artificial intelligence, digital governance, and its influence on global affairs during his conversation with PM Modi.
According to a report by news agency IANS, the podcast may highlight initiatives like Digital India, Make in India, and the nation’s progress in AI.
Fridman has been hosting the Lex Fridman Podcast since 2018, interviewing prominent figures from science, technology, sports, and politics.
His guest list includes notable figures such as Elon Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, US President-elect Donald Trump, Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
He has over 4.5 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.
Earlier this month, PM Modi made his podcast debut on Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath's "People by WTF" series.
The nearly two-hour discussion saw PM Modi sharing anecdotes from his childhood, education, political journey, challenges, stress management, and policy-making experiences.
