Ayodhya is gearing up for another historic event, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to hoist 21-foot flag atop the Ram Temple on 25 November, coinciding with Ram Vivah Panchami.
The event will mark the completion of the Ram Temple’s construction and the beginning of the BJP’s new campaign.
Several senior party leaders are expected to attend the grand ceremony in the holy city, reported Times Now.
Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Committee, acknowledged the Prime Minister's visit and described the occasion as "historic."
“PM Modi has been invited on 25 November (for Ram Temple flag-hoisting ceremony). It will mark the completion of the construction of the Ram temple. PM has indicated that he will attend the programme," Mishra was quoted as saying by ANI.
Mishra stated that the Prime Minister's gesture will represent the fulfillment of people's long-held aspiration of trust and waiting.
Mishra stated that the main temple construction is almost finished, with the outside wall, Sheshavatar temple, Sapta Mandapam, and Pushkarni (holy pond) already completed.
The shoe rack facility for devotees is also nearing completion and is slated to be completed in November.
Before the main ceremony, a five-day Vedic ritual from 21 to 25 November will feature seers from Ayodhya and Kashi.
