The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has shifted focus to preparations for the final ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, a flag hoisting event scheduled for 25 November, coinciding with Vivah Panchami, the wedding of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita, the Indian Express reported.

President Droupadi Murmu is likely to be present at the 25 November flag hoisting ceremony.

Trust officials said the concluding ceremony would be centred around the theme of “samras samaj” (inclusive society), with invitees mainly comprising grassroots representatives from 24 districts around Ayodhya, particularly from Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs).

The Indian Express reported, citing sources, that the upcoming ceremony would differ from the previous two Pran Pratishtha events, with the focus this time on inclusion of local and marginalised groups.

They added that the guest list would feature gram pradhans from 24 neighbouring districts along with representatives from these communities. According to them, the invitees would be those making “vital contribution to society in their own way.”

The rituals for the dhwajarohan (flag hoisting) will begin on 23 November, with the main event on 25 November.

A 42-feet-long dhwaja stambha has already been installed atop the 161-feet-high spire of the main temple, where the flag will be hoisted.

On the same day, flags will also be hoisted at smaller temples within the complex.

The first consecration, the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Lalla idol, was held on 22 January 2024, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The second, featuring Lord Ram as King at the Ram Darbar, took place in June 2025 with saints and seers.

Meanwhile, the Trust has appointed Krishna Mohan, RSS functionary (chhetra sangh chalak for eastern Uttar Pradesh) and retired IFS officer, as a new member. “It was unexpected. It is all because of the will of Lord Ram. I will fulfil my new role with sincerity,” Mohan said.
