Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (15 August) said that the first 'Made In India' chips will enter the market before the end of 2025.
PM Modi made this announcement while addressing the nation from the Red Fort on the occasion of the Independence Day.
In his address, PM Modi urged the nation to embrace Aatmanirbharta (self-sufficiency), calling it the need of the hour. He cited Operation Sindoor as proof of the strength of ‘Made in India’ capabilities.
"We are working in mission mode in semiconductor sector, made-in-India chips will hit markets by end of this year," he said.
PM Modi also highlighted the strides the country is making in the energy sector.
