Sixty-five advanced technology centres (ATCs) aimed at equipping youth with Industry 4.0 skills will be inaugurated across Telangana on 27 September, Times of India reported.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will open the facility at Mallepally, while ministers and MLAs will inaugurate the others in their respective constituencies.

Built at a cost of Rs 2,380 crore, the ATCs will focus on skill development in areas such as robotics, industrial automation, electric vehicles, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

The project is a collaboration between the state government and Tata Technologies, which developed six long-term and 23 short-term courses for the centres.

Of the total cost, the government contributed Rs 363 crore, and Tata Technologies funded the rest.

“Industry 4.0 technologies, industry-ready courseware, and trained instructors incorporated into the new ATCs will support the govt's efforts to increase the availability of skilled talent and attract investments to the state. The upgraded courses will cover 3D printing, robotics, industrial automation, manufacturing execution systems, electric vehicles (EVs), and Internet of Things (IoT),” officials were quoted as saying by ToI.

Each ATC is equipped with a new 13,500 square foot workshop, with machinery and materials already delivered. The facilities are designed to accommodate both long-term and short-term training programmes.

According to the state government, out of 11,008 seats available for long-term courses in the 2025–2027 academic cycle, 10,869, nearly 99 per cent, have already been filled.

They added that admissions are still underway and will remain open until 30 September.

From the next academic year, the government expects to open admissions for 1.25 lakh candidates across 23 short-term courses.

Tata Technologies is responsible for training the teaching faculty, with 130 master trainers and 780 trainers being deployed.

Three dedicated training centres are already operational in Mallepally, Khammam, and Nizamabad.
