The Vizianagaram II Town Police, in coordination with central agencies including the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Counter-Intelligence (CI), have uncovered crucial details about the operations of the radical group Al-Hind Ittehadul Muslimeen (AHIM) during interrogation.

AHIM, reportedly founded by terror suspects Siraj and Sameer, has links to at least 12 alleged sleeper cell members operating across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Maharashtra, according to a New Indian Express report.

Investigators revealed that Siraj travelled to Mumbai on 22 November 2024, where he reportedly attended a gathering at Prime Shopping Mall in Andheri with 8 to 10 AHIM associates including Adnan Kureshi, Dilshan, Mohsin Shaik, Jasser (alias Aman), Fahad, and Amir Ansari.

On the following day, Siraj reportedly discussed Khilafat, Jihad, and BLT (Bhagwa Love Trap) with another individual.

On 26 January 2025, he travelled to Delhi to meet Sahabaz and Zeeshan, although Sahabaz had reportedly left the country.

Acting on the advice of Abuthalem (alias Abu Musab), a Saudi-based radical, Siraj and Sameer are believed to have initiated plans for “Ghazwa-e-Hind”, a radical Islamist doctrine envisioning a battle in the Indian subcontinent.

According to officials, Siraj frequently communicated with Abu Musab via Signal to avoid surveillance and had been planning to use low-cost chemical-based improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

They expressed readiness to sacrifice their lives and aimed to radicalise youth to establish an Islamic state in India.

Authorities are currently verifying the authenticity of Siraj and Sameer’s passport and visa records.

Investigations have also expanded to Siraj’s family, with police probing whether his father, Azeezur Ur Rehaman, and brother, Asif Ur Rehaman, misused police influence to assist in the procurement of travel documents.
