Three-Day Traffic Block Announced on Mumbai-Pune Expressway For Bridge Girder Installation: Commuters Advised To Plan Travel

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has announced a three-hour traffic block on 22, 23, and 24 January to facilitate the installation of girders for a new bridge on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

According to an official release, the work will take place at kilometre 58/500, between Dongargaon and Kusgaon, on the Pune-bound carriageway. The block will be in effect from 12 noon to 3 pm on all three days.

During this period, vehicular traffic from Mumbai to Pune will be diverted between Varsoli Toll Naka and Wadgaon via the Old Mumbai-Pune National Highway.

“The block between January 22 to 24 and it will start at 12 noon and end at 3 pm. Vehicular traffic from Mumbai to Pune will be diverted between Varsoli Toll naka and Wadgaon via Old Mumbai-Pune National Highway. After 3.00 pm, on all three days, traffic from Mumbai to Pune will be restored on the Pune side (Pune bound carriageway) of the expressway,” the release stated.

Traffic on the Pune-to-Mumbai route will remain unaffected during the specified block, ensuring smooth transit for vehicles heading towards Mumbai.

Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly and adhere to the diversion routes. For assistance or any issues during the block, drivers can contact the Mumbai-Pune Expressway Control Room.
