UAE Authorities Dismiss Claims Of 'Lifetime' Golden Visas For Select Nationalities

The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has dismissed recent claims made by foreign consultancies, which were shared widely on social media, about the alleged availability of “lifetime Golden Visas” for people of select nationalities, the Mint reported.

According to an official statement, the ICP clarified that the Golden Visa scheme continues to be regulated by specific categories, conditions, and rules.

These, it said, are "clearly defined" based on existing "official laws, legislations, and ministerial decisions."

“All official information is available on the Authority's website or smart application,” the statement added.

Dismissing the rumours, the ICP emphasised that all Golden Visa applications must be processed exclusively through UAE government channels.

“The application process does not recognise any other internal or external consultancy as an authorised party,” it said.

The clarification comes in response to a consultancy based outside the UAE, which claimed that lifetime Golden Visas were available under simplified terms for all categories through commercial arrangements.

The authority stated that “these claims have no legal basis and were made without coordination with the relevant authorities in the UAE.”

Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and integrity in visa processes, the ICP warned that “legal action will be taken against entities spreading such false information in an attempt to illegally collect money from individuals aspiring to live and reside in the UAE, exploiting their hopes for a dignified and secure life.”

The authority urged individuals to steer clear of such scams, avoid paying fees or sharing personal documents with unauthorised parties, and always verify visa procedures through official sources.
