As voting concluded for the seventh and final phase in Uttar Pradesh, the exit poll numbers for the five states that went to polls started coming in. These five states are: Goa, Manipur, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh.
A look at the exit polls suggests that it will likely be a close contest in Uttarakhand. The Uttarakhand assembly has 70 assembly segments with a majority at 36.
Republic TV exit poll is giving 35-39 seats to the BJP, 28-34 to the Congress, and 0-3 to the AAP.
The ABP-C Voter exit poll is giving 26-32 seats to the BJP and 32-38 to the Congress. It is giving 0-2 seats to the AAP.
The Jan ki Baat exit poll is giving 32-41 seats for the BJP and 27-35 seats for the Congress, with 0-1 seats for the AAP. The projected vote share for the BJP is 39.2-42.6 per cent; for Congress, 38.8-41.4 per cent; 6-9 per cent for the AAP, and 3-5 per cent for BSP.
The India Today Axis My India exit poll is giving Uttarakhand to the BJP with 36-46 seats and 20-30 seats to the Congress. This poll is giving 44 per cent vote share to the BJP and 40 per cent to the Congress.
