‘We Will Rebuild’: Lashkar Commander Confirms Indian Strikes Razed Its Training Centre In Pakistan's Muridke

A video purportedly featuring Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Qaasim has surfaced online, directly challenging Pakistan’s denials about the impact of Indian strikes, reported Hindustan Times.

In the clip, Qaasim stands amidst rubble at the Markaz Taiba camp in Muridke, Punjab, and says, “I am standing in front of the Markaz Taiba in Muridke... It was destroyed in the attack (during Operation Sindoor). We will be rebuilding it and making it even bigger.”

In another video, Qaasim further claimed the camp trained numerous fighters, including Mujahideens and Talaba, and openly encouraged youths to join the Daura-e-Suffa programme, which provides basic combat training and jihadi indoctrination.

“From here, big names in Mujahideen got trained here and achieved Faiz (Victory),” he added.

The video's authenticity has not yet been verified.

The video follows a similar confession by Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander Masood Ilyas Kashmiri, who admitted that India’s strikes destroyed the Markaz Subhan Allah headquarters in Bahawalpur and killed the family of JeM chief Masood Azhar.

These statements reinforce India’s claim that the 7 May Operation Sindoor successfully targeted nine terror hubs across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, launched in retaliation for the 22 April Pahalgam terror attack.

According to ANI, Markaz Taiba, established in 2000, served as LeT’s primary training centre, hosting arms drills, physical exercises, and radicalisation sessions for recruits from Pakistan and abroad.

Similarly, Markaz Subhan Allah, operational since 2015, functioned as JeM’s main indoctrination hub and has been linked to multiple terror plots, including the 2019 Pulwama attack.
